Be Strong- Stevo Boy tells mum after laying his dad to rest

 

Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has encouraged his mum to be strong now that she is a widow.

The old man was laid to rest on February 11 at his home in Oyugis, Homa Bay.

What killed the old man?

"My dad was not sick, he rested peacefully. We have not conducted a postmortem to determine the cause of his death

"Baba yangu hakuwa mgonjwa, alipumzika kwa amani. Hatujafanya uchunguzi wa maiti kujua ni nini kilimuua," alisema.

Stivo alisema mama yake alikuwa akikubali msiba huo polepole.

"Amekuwa dhaifu sana lakini tunamsaidia. Naomba mashabiki wangu wanisaidie ili nimpe baba yangu mazishi yanayostahili. Bajeti ni Sh400k," alisema wakati huo.

A statement by Stevo's management on their social media asked his fans to pray for his family during this tough time.

 

The management did not reveal the cause of his death but said they woke up to the sad news today morning.

"We woke up with sad news this morning announcing the death of Anthony Adera, father to Stephen Otieno Adera famously known as Stevo Simple Boy. 

We urge all his fans and friends to stand with him during these tough times and put him in our prayers. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE 🕊️," they wrote in the statement.

Stevo is famous for his songs that revolve around social issues that affect daily societal living. 

He gained recognition after releasing the song, Mihadarati. 

Stivo Simple Boy was born and raised in the slum of Kibera.
