Valentine’s Day has left many trying to explain why they are faking how the day went. This is the case for one South African woman who shared a mirror selfie, sharing that she was on a solo staycation as a way of showing her love.
But before posting the picture, she forgot to study every detail in it.
So she went ahead, posted the picture, and captioned that she was solo.
But social media detectives were quick to spot an interesting detail that led many to believe she was faking her Valentine’sDay.

“Decided to take myself out for Valentine’s. Solo vacation, self-love,” she captioned the moment.
In the mirror was an interesting detail she thought not many would notice – the foot of someone lying on the bed.
Netizens were quick to spot it and have a good laugh.
She has since deleted the photo, suggesting that the person in the picture is not her soul mate. Many speculated that it was her sponsor and so having been caught telling a lie online made her ashamed.
The woman defended herself in a statement below.
From buying themselves flowers, to takign themselves on dinner dates, many women have been caught lying about the things their men are doing for them on Valentines day.
It’s not just Valentines but even birthdays and special holidays, where social media places pressure on some people to live a fake life to impress netizens.
