Years back, Avril and Kenzo entertained a group of children, singing their popular songs. Little did they know that among those children was a Kenyan girl who would one day be among Kenya’s rising stars.
That child was Nikita Kering who took to her social media to share her memory of that special day that positively impacted her life.
It was a video of Avril, Kenzo and a third individual standing by the bedside of a hospitalized child.
Avril sings away as Kenzo strums the guitar, smiling to encourage the child on the hospital bed.
“Many years ago, @AvrilKenya sang to sick children in hospital. I’m sure she doesn’t know it but I was one of them. I was starstruck and I have never forgotten it. Kind acts are never forgotten ❤️Be kind,” Nikita captioned on her Twitter account.
That memory of Avril singing has forever remained imprinted on the mind of Nikita, who tagged Avril to share her gratitude.
Avril reposted it, remarking that she never thought she was impacting someone that way.

One thing that left a mark on Avril as well was that Nikita sang for her, giving her goosebumps. Avril added,
“🥹😭😭 oh maaan. And then you sang for me 🥺. I remember. Now look at you a superstar and so much more. You are amazing. Thank you for this memory.”
Kenzo also responded,
“Some things we do unknowingly… God bless you @nikita_kering enjoy all the success you have now 🙏” He also recalled hearing Nikita sing and was impressed at her voice.
The messages from all three artistes have wowed Kenyans who are also encouraging each other to be kind.
