Ami Faku’s message to Kenyan fans ahead of Drip Fest

Ami Faku jetted into Kenya ahead of this weekend’s much anticipated Drip Fest going down on Sunday.

Speaking to Mpasho’s Kalondou Musyimi on Friday, February 3, she told how much her Kenyan fans excite her.

“It’s gonna be amazing it’s gonna be so much fun, it’s gonna be a fusion of a lot of energies, especially since it’s my first time performing on such a big platform. I’m super grateful” she told

What is her drip?

“I love classical looks, feminine, I love 90’s 80’s fashion, anything that I can wear shortly that’s my style”

She said she is happy the 90s fashion is coming back.

“I’m excited, I’m happy. That’s real fashion for me because I was born in the 90s. So I’m happy because I used to watch people rick them and now I can be able to buy some of those things”

Her message ahead of Drio Fest?

“Please get there to the venue with all your friends, this is a moment for all of us, me included and I just want them to have fun. Be happy you have one life just be happy and enjoy your life, respect others “

What’s the one staple in her closet?

“When I wear short things I go all out but it’s rare but what else? Not much “

Any surprises she has in store for her Kenyans fans in the much anticipated Drip Fest?

“No, not much except that I will be there with the vibe. I’m so excited for my guys we have been rehearsing and for them also it’s their first time performing here so it’s going to be such an amazing memorable day for us”

Ami is looking forward to performing her favorite songs; “My top three that I’m certain they’ll know is Into Ingawe and then Abalele and I have a new song that’s doing very well, I hope they recognize”

And that’s not all, her Kenyan fans will also hear songs that launched her musical journey,

“And I will also be singing songs when I started just to give them an introduction of where I come from and where I am currently. So it’s a bit of like everything.”

Having been on the entertainment scene, has she experienced some favorite fan moments?

“When they sing along honestly when I see that they’re happy for me it just makes me happy. The energy for me just speaks volumes, it’s always my favorite fan moment. “

Is there an award she looks forward to being nominated for?

“Honestly, the Grammys. Would trigger me because not a lot of things can melt my heart, so that would do me justice “

How would she rate African music?

 “It’s growing and you can’t deny the fact that Africans worldwide are music, music in them and it shows”

Ami has celebrated Kenyans for being kind, respectful, and smart.
