Martha Karua pays glowing tribute to Kasavauli, urges unity in fight against cancer

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has mourned veteran media personality Catherine Kasavuli as a journalist who mentored many.

Karua said despite Catherine fighting cancer for months,  she kept a smile on her face.

She further urged the government to up the game on the war against the cancer pandemic.

“Cancer is treatable and we must work as a team to face off this pandemic,” Karua said.

She further urged the government to take cancer issues as a national disaster and help Kenyans in fighting the disease.

Karua was speaking at Nyang’ori high school during the funeral service of the late Catherine Kasavuli.

Kasavuli succumbed to cancer on December 29 after struggling with cervical cancer.
