Body of late Voja Mahakamani prosecutor Gibson Gathu Mbugu lands in Nairobi

 

The body of the late Vioja Mahakami prosecutor Gibson Gathu has arrived in Nairobi.

Fellow actor Ondiek Nyukakwota -aka Hirima Mungai- updated his fans saying that; "The body of our brother & Colleague The Late Gibson Gathu Mbugua aka prosecutor (Vioja Mahakamani) will be landing at JKIA @8.30am. the body will arrive at Lee Funeral Home @9am#FareTheeWellGib."

The late Gibson died in Eldoret and his death was announced on December 22.

"Good morning friends and family... This morning I have received a phone call from Mediheal Hospital informing me that our brother Gibson has rested. It's been a journey but in all God is still on the throne," his family said in a sad announcement.

The actor underwent a kidney transplant at a hospital in Eldoret in August this year.

The late was admitted to hospital in July after well-wishers, led by former President Uhuru Kenyatta, came through for him in a fundraiser. Sh6 million was raised for his medical treatment.

After a successful surgery, he expressed his gratitude to all well-wishers who supported him with the hospital bill.

Vioja Mahakamani actor Gibson Gathu is dead. He was battling diabetes.

The medical appeal was placed by Mbugua's family because his treatment had depleted family finances.

“I am so thankful to Kenyans who came through for me. I could never appreciate them enough,” he said at the time of the appeal.

His treatment for Kidney dialysis was very expensive and the family was left with no choice but to urge Kenyans to help where they can.

“Dialysis treatment is costly. It exhausts your medical insurance coverage and you start digging deep into your pockets. Insurance coverage is limited. You have to undergo dialysis three times a week and each visit you pay from Sh10,000,” he said.  BY MPASHO NEWS
