Police impersonator arrested while extorting residents in Kasarani

A man who has been impersonating the officer in charge of the crime desk at Kasarani police station has been arrested.

Residents claim James Obwangi Nyakundi has been extorting money from Kasarani as a police officer in charge of the crime desk.

Most of the victims are bar operators of wines and spirits.

Kasarani police boss Anthony Mbogo said they are investigating Nyakundi following the complaints from several victims.

The man was Friday expected in court to face charges of impersonation among other related charges.

Police urged anybody with a complaint about the man to report it to them.    BY THE STAR
