Uganda’s first son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is calling for the dismissal of President Yoweri Museveni’s social media handlers.
According to Muhoozi, the handlers shared information that is not meant for the public.
“The people who are in charge of my father’s social media accounts should be fired! This kind of information is classified!” he said.
His remarks followed a series of tweets by Museveni’s official account showing videos of an attack the Ugandan Air Force carried out on Islamist rebel group, the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Muhoozi, however, felt that his father’s social media accounts might have revealed a ‘little too much’ on what he termed as classified information.
The Ugandan first son has been causing a frenzy on social media over his recent remarks.
According the Ugandan president, the attack was with the permission of the DRC authorities.
“This location is beyond the limit of exploitation that we had agreed with Congo Government that runs Beni−Mbau junction−Eoingeti−Komanda−Kasindi−Beni.
Within the area that we have been allowed to operate, we have destroyed all the camps the reconnaissance has identified, killed a lot of terrorists, captured others and emancipated the much terrorized wanainchi of the area,” Museveni said.
Last month, Muhoozi made waves by threatening to over take Nairobi in just two weeks, something that nearly caused a diplomatic incident.
