Lawyer Miguna Miguna has said among the first things he will do after his arrival in the country is pay his last respects to late family members and friends.
The lawyer is expected to land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on October 20.
“Soon after arriving in Kenya on October 20, 2022, I will unveil a schedule which will include paying my last respects to my comrade Onyango Oloo, Chris Msando, my sister-in-law, father-in-law and all those fearless freedom fighters who were killed in 2017 and 2018,” he said.
The former IEBC ICT Manager Msando was found dead on July 29,2017 in a thicket in Kikuyu, Kiambu county, nearly a week to the General Elections.
Oloo was a political detainee and human rights activist. He died on June 17,2019.
Initially, Miguna had announced he will fly back to Kenya on October 25 after departing Toronto, Canada on October 24.
“Arrival date and time have been changed by popular demand. Arrival: October 20, 2022 at 6.00 AM. See you at the JKIA, Patriots,” he tweeted.
He received his new passport on Wednesday, September 21, following a directive by President William Ruto.
Miguna was deported on February 6, 2018, and again in March 2018 after he tried returning to Kenya.
Miguna has always blamed Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga for his exile. BY MPASHO NEWS
