Bomet Administration Police (APS) FC have announced they will use the Kericho Green Stadium as their home venue during the forthcoming FKF Premier League season.
The newly promoted side will not be allowed to use the Bomet IAAF Stadium because the facility lacks a standard perimeter wall, leaving them to look elsewhere for a home pitch.
Head coach Charles Odera has said efforts to secure the neighboring Narok Stadium proved futile due to ongoing renovation works.
But Odera said the Green Stadium will be available for them and will share it with the local side with Zoo FC.
At the same time, he appealed to the county government of Bomet to fix the remaining part of the stadium to enable them to be allowed to host matches at their home stadium.
“We appeal to the Bomet Governor (Dr. Hillary Barchok) to help with putting up a proper perimeter wall because that’s the only thing missing.
“Playing in Kericho will feel like we’re playing away all the time so we hope we can get Bomet fixed for us,” Odera said.
