Follow law when sacking staff, Ombudsman tells governors
The Commission on Administrative Justice has called on governors to strictly adhere to the law when dealing with the county staff.
CAJ chairperson Florence Kajuju persuaded the new county bosses against arbitrary sacking of staff.
"We beseech you go into auditing of staff to look at how they were employed, please look at the employment act, apply principal of natural justice because if you don't do that, these people will come to us. They will go to court," she said.
Kajuju's remarks come in the wake of massive crackdown on staff across counties by the new governors, to weed out ghost workers and curb wage bill.
Many governors have suspended staff or ordered audit on the staff roll.
