Wahu and Nameless walked down the aisle on 10th September 2005, in a private ceremony on the shores of Lake Naivasha.
Wahu arrived on a boat before walking down the aisle to meet her husband.
The two had dated for eight years before they said ‘I Do.’ The couple has been together for 25 years and has been married for 17 years.
Taking to social media, Wahu remembered how a publication wrote that they wouldn’t last.
“September 10th 2005 I got married to my boyfriend of 8 years. A popular gazetti said we wouldn’t last more than 2 years….well…..17 years later Bado tuko!! Happy anniversary @namelesskenya …. Mimi ndio niko ππππ blessed to walk this life with you β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ#rideordie #bestfriend #partnerincrime #partnerforlife.”
Nameless also shared photos from their wedding recalling their first date 25 years ago.
“Happy Anniversary Babe! 17 years today since we said ‘I DO!’ and 25 years since our first date!π ππΏ And you still the ONE β₯οΈπ! Just alittle heavier π₯΅π π€£π€£!! Wahu also shared a short video from the wedding which is below;
That they have gotten this far is a testament to the sacrifice, grit and commitment to each other. Last year during their reality show, This Love, the singer stated that she almost left her marriage due to their religious differences.
At the time, the ‘Sweet Love’ singer said that she was a born again Christian but Nameless, on the other hand, was not saved.
This caused an issue among Wahu’s friends who thought he was not good enough for her.
βI have always been born again and of course with my friends they did not like the fact that he was not saved also, one time I told him it was over. Then he wrote in my journal saying he did not understand why he was not good for me,β Wahu said. BY MPASHO NEWS
