Ruto attends church service at Karen as tallying gets underway

Kenya Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday led Kenya Kwanza leaders and his family in a church service at his Karen residence. 

Kenya Kwanza leaders present were Rigathi Gachagua, Machakos governor Alfred Mutua, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, among others. 

Mama Racheal Ruto and DP’s mother were also present for the service.

The IEBC is currently counting votes at Bomas of Kenya, which is the National Tallying Center. 

Ruto and his main challenger Azimio’s Raila Odinga are in a neck and neck race as tallying gets underway.

So far, results from 138 constituencies out of 291 have been verified by the electoral commission as the country awaits the final results to be announced. 

Ruto had on Friday held a meeting with the AU-COMESA Election Observer Mission following elections that were held on August 9.    BY THE STAR
