Aga Khan University Hospital launches 51st branch in Kamakis
Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has opened an outpatient medical centre in Kamakis, Ruiru.
The hospital launched its 51st medical facility on Sunday to offer general and specialised services such as obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, family medicine and dermatology clinics.
"The growth of the hospital is guided by its values of quality, impact, relevance and access,"Rashid Khalani, AKUH CEO said.
Khalani noted that the clinic is served by a well-stocked pharmacy to ensure there are no drug supply shortages.
He added that the hospital will continue to increase its branches across the region to provide quality care within neighbourhoods.
“We have also deliberately invested significant resources in quality processes to ensure excellent clinical outcomes for our patients," he said.
He said the investments have been validated by external accreditation bodies like the College of American Pathologists, the Joint Commission International, and the South African National Accreditation System.
Khalani noted that the accreditation is an assurance that services offered are in line with global standards and on par with the best international hospitals.
