The service will be held on Friday a day before the former President is laid to rest on Saturday at his Othaya home, Nyeri county.

Interior CS Fred Matiang'i has directed members of the public to be seated by 8 am before the arrival of the body.

The service will be interdenominational but will be led by the Catholic Church.
