Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has flagged a statement indicating that she said she will never join Azimio la Umoja as fake.

A tweet by Abdiweli Duale claimed that the Narc Kenya leader had sworn that Azimio is not an option for her.

“I won’t and will never join Azimio Coalition, Uhuru and his Handshake partner should retire peacefully,” Abdiwell quoted Karua.

He further added: “This was moments after she was “duped” into signing an OKA agreement deal”.

Karua has however dismissed the remarks.

While reacting to Abdiweli’s tweet, Karua said it is “fake”.

Kenyans should, therefore, ignore such statements and treat them as fake.

One should verify such information on Karua’s real social media handles, @marthakarua on Twitter, before concluding it is her remarks.

Despite her clarifications, questions still emerge about her political direction considering that she is yet to make it public.

Karua who on Friday signed a coalition agreement with OKA is yet to announce her stand after her fellow OKA principals endorsed ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.

Wiper leader KAalonzo Musyoka and Kanu Chairman Gideon Moi on Saturday attended the unveiling of Azimio La Umoja presidential candidates, a function that Karua missed.

Kalonzo publicly declared that he will back Raila for the top seat.

When questioned where she was by veteran journalist David Makali, Karua said she was “relaxing at home”.

The former minister has been acting cautiously on her political direction, a matter that has left many Kenyans guessing about her future.     BY THE STAR
