Deputy President William Samoei Ruto on Tuesday attended a meeting at Karson Institute for Race, Peace, and Social Justice at Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland.
The meeting was aimed at conversations on politics, prose and peace.
The leaders present were Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Governors Josphat Nanok(Turkana), Anne Waiguru(Kirinyaga) and Salim Mvurya(Kwale).
Scholars, students, the clergy and Kenyans living in the US were also in attendance.
“An economy can only grow, be healthy and stable if we involve all the people, especially the majority who are at the bottom of the wealth pyramid,” Ruto tweeted.
The deputy president left the country on Sunday morning for his UK and US tour.
The USA leg of the trip will conclude with a meeting with Kenyans in the diaspora.
