Simiyu, a father of two, was to earn Sh1,000 for the day.
Works at the site stalled amid investigations into the tragedy.
The body was moved to the mortuary.
Police said they will involve officials from the National Construction Authority in the probe.
Such incidents are common at construction sites and have been blamed on the lack of protective gear.
