Devolution CS Charles Keter resigns, to focus on Kericho governor bid

Devolution CS Charles Keter has resigned to focus on his bid to become the next Kericho Governor.

Keter resigned on Tuesday and will vie on DP William Ruto’s UDA party.

He is the first Cabinet Secretary to step down.

“I wish to sincerely thank the His Excellency the President for according me the opportunity to serve in his cabinet since 2015,” Keter said.

Keter resigned as Kericho senator in 2015 to take up a cabinet post, following an appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He had been appointed Energy CS.     BY THE STAR
