Struggling Wazito sack Francis Kimanzi

News

Beleaguered Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Wazito FC have sacked head coach Francis Kimanzi.

Kimanzi, who has been in charge for over a year, has been fired alongside his assistants John Kamau and Jeff Odongo as well as goalkeeper trainer Samuel Koko.

The club has announced youth team coach Fred Ambani will take over in interim capacity amid biting financial challenges with majority of senior players rumoured to be on their way out.

The 4-2 -defeat to bottom-placed Vihiga Bullets last Sunday at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega compounded more misery for Kimanzi.

The team lies in 16th place in the 18-team table with a paltry nine points from 13 games. They have won only two games this season.     BY DAILY NATION
