Section of Lang’ata road to remain closed for one week

News

A section of Lang’ata Road will remain closed from Monday to Saturday, the Kenya National Highways Authority has announced.

In a traffic advisory on Monday, KeNHA said that traffic will be disrupted at the T-Mall roundabout.

This will be to allow for the erection of the T-Mall flyover.

“The road will be closed on Monday of January 10, 2022, to Saturday of January 15, 2022. The works will be scheduled to take place at night from 9 pm to 5 am throughout the construction period,” KeNHA said.

Lang’ata – T-Mall bound traffic will be diverted at the junction with Wilson Airport into the Lang’ata bound lane.

“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” the authority said.

KeNHA urged motorists to exercise caution and road courtesy while driving on Lang’ata Road for better traffic management.

This is the first phase of the diversions as others are expected as the flyover construction continues.   BY THE STAR
