The One Kenya Alliance principals have been insisting they will remain united to the end but it is only a matter of time before the formation crumbles.
Oka is nothing but a makeshift alliance that has neither head nor tail. The formation will not last to the general elections because it is going to die a natural death before the polls.
It will be an expected natural death and not an unexpected natural death. This is because its demise is something that is anticipated, nothing out of the blue.
In fact, the alliance has no lifespan and this is by design. I say this because the alliance was not meant to last from the word go since it was created by other people and not the principals.
When the forces that created the alliance decide that it is time for the formation to die, then the principals will have no option but to watch as it dies. The principals will keep on talking about how they will remain united but deep down in their hearts they know they will not last.
I want to point out that the alliance will not crumble close to the General Elections but very much earlier. I compare the alliance to a table standing on four legs. When one leg breaks, you can position the table in such a way that you can still use it. You will need to balance it well. However, when another leg breaks, that will be the end of the table.
There are people in the alliance who will soon move out of the formation to go to their proper homes. When one of them moves, the alliance may still stand but when the second person goes, the alliance may stand for a little longer, maybe for a month or two at most, but it will crumble in the end.
Kenyans should probably be asking themselves where each of the principals are likely to be headed once the alliance dies and not whether or not the formation will last to the election date. BY THE STAR
