Normal county operations in the capital have been disrupted after Nairobi county government workers downed their tools.
The workers have accused both NMS and City Hall of failing to address their grievances.
The Kenya County Government Workers Union (KCGWU) Nairobi branch decried that at least 11,000 county workers have been without medical cover since July.
Other issues raised by the union is the failure to promote county staff, perennial delay in paying staff salaries, non-remittance of statutory deductions and non-payment of overtime and other allowances.
The workers have also decried that the county has failed to provide non-payment of uniform allowances and other dues for retiring employees. BY THE STAR
