Go ahead and kick me out, Kibwana tells Wiper

 

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has told the Wiper Party to eject him if it finds him disloyal and no longer useful.

Speaking to the Star on Tuesday, the second-term governor said the party has written him a number of summonses. 

The letters ask him to appear before a disciplinary committee, with the latest dated July 30.

However, the county boss said he couldn't appear because doctors told him to rest after surgery two months ago.

Kibwana said the party accuses him of having supported a non Wiper-approved candidate during the Kithuki/Kitise by-election.

He rejected the claims, saying the agreement between Wiper and his former Muungano party called for mutual support. 

The governor also rubbished the accusation that he doesn't pay monthly subscription fees to the party.

He said his funding of party activities means it is the party that owes him, and not the other way round.

Kibwana said he is ready for national politics come 2022.

He also said many people in Makueni welcome his entry into national politics, citing his coronation by elders at his residence in Wote town.    BY THE STAR
