Ruto plagiarised Nasa manifesto on bottom up model – Sifuna

DP William Ruto plagiarised the Nasa manifesto on the bottom up model, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna has claimed.

Via a series of tweets on Friday, Sifuna said, “Over a year ago I asked @DavidNdii to share the #BottomUpus blue print and he shared the Nasa Manifesto instead! I don’t know why then @WilliamsRuto  thinks growing the economic capacity of every day Kenyans is his original idea. You just plagiarized the Nasa Manifesto.”

Sifuna went ahead to claim that the hustler nation did not have an idea of how the model works.

“I am convinced Tangatanga have never even asked a Mama mboga what she actually needs. They just show up with aprons,” he said.

“ When we proposed increased revenue share to the counties we knew mama mboga needs her governor to build proper markets where her business can thrive.”

He said that to be a Mama mboga, “one needs the mboga, else you are just mama!”

Ruto has rolled out his agenda, the bottom-up economic model which he believes will empower the majority of Kenyans at the bottom of the pyramid to turn around the economy of the country.

The DP has been giving wheelbarrows, car washing machines, motorcycles, animal feed and sewing machines to the youth.

He has also been criticized for giving out money and other donations to churches and welfare groups but he has defended his actions saying he’s empowering the ‘hustlers.’

But both ODM Party leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta have criticised the move saying it’s not sustainable and the government agenda should be driven by policy.   BY THE STAR
