Kenya on Saturday recorded 230 new Covid-19 cases, from a sample size of 6,515 tested in the last 24 hours.
This now brings the total number of cases to 98,184.
The cumulative tests now stand at 1,088,378.
Of the cases, 221 are Kenyans and nine are foreigners and as for the gender, 152 are males and 78 are females.
In terms of age, the youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 77 years old.
On a good note, the country has recorded 137 recoveries, bringing the total number to 80,808.
127 recovered from the home based care program while 31 recovered from different health facilities.
Unfortunately, one more patient has succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 1,704.
Distribution to counties is as follows; Nairobi 77, Taita Taveta 36, Kiambu 20, Busia 19, Kisumu 12, Meru 11, Uasin Gishu and Kilifi 10.
Others are Kitui nine, Mombasa and Kajiado with four each, Laikipia and Murang’a with three cases each and Nakuru with two cases.
Counties with one case each are Kisii, Machakos, Garissa, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Nyamira, Migori, Makueni, Siaya and Vihiga.
