It’s now quite clear that the coronavirus is a very dangerous disease that you can easily contract by being in contact with someone who has the virus.
The transmission is normally through droplets especially when one sneezes or coughs.

When the droplets get in contact with M.E.N, that is your mouth, eyes and nose you are likely to get infected.
The government and health experts have advised Kenyans to stay at home and reduce contact with other people and to exercise social distancing.
Most people already had a schedule that was glued to their brains and would work around that so as not to clash activities.

However, things have now changed and some are not sure how to cope with staying at home the whole day.
Well, here is a schedule you can follow as you keep safe while staying at home;
1. Wake up, dress up
You’ve had a schedule before, maybe you had to go to work or to school, but you now have to stay at home. Every morning wake up, take a shower and get dressed.
Once you are fresh, you can anything that you set your mind to. Get yourself something to eat and get ready to tackle the day.
2. Set up a work station
A workstation should not necessarily be a place where you do your everyday job or when you have to do it at home.
It can also be a place where you love to do your research, being creative or even reading a book or painting.
Set up your workstation according to what you want to do or are interested in trying to accomplish.
Try and make it as cosy as possible as well. Beautiful environs can really make you happy.
3. Get a drink or a snack
Staying at home can either make you lazy or active but either way, you have to eat.
Get yourself a snack/drink, maybe a fruit salad, a sandwich or even a bowl of cereals. Staying hungry can really make you grumpy and dampen your moods.
4. Plan a diary
If you are more of a planner than the kind that gets up and lets the day guide them, get your notepad and write down things you would like to do during the day.
You can choose to plan the previous night before you sleep or in the morning when you are fresh and ready to start your day.
It all depends on what works best for you.
5. Catch up with your kids, siblings
You have been in the house most of the time and you have younglings or younger siblings running around the house, you don’t know how to keep them calm.
Try and make a timetable for the kids. Make time for them to do some reading be it school work or just reading a storybook.
Take breaks in between reading, maybe play a board game, ride bikes in the compound or even take a nap. With this, the kids will stay active even while at home.
6. Stay healthy
In as much as you are advised to stay at home, it’s also important to stay healthy.
You can take a break and sit at a balcony or take a small walk at your parking lot, just to stretch and take in the fresh air.
7. Take breaks
Work is important, but it doesn’t mean you have to die of fatigue while doing it. A break is quite needed. Some people prefer taking a ten-minute nap. If that helps, please proceed but also put an alarm or else you might oversleep.
