Traffic offender rams his Mercedes Benz into a truck, killing police officer who had arrested him

Police officers in Changamwe are pursuing a suspect, Rajab Ramadhan, who intentionally hit a truck, killing a police officer who had arrested him for a traffic offence.

In a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the officer, George Oluoch reportedly stopped the suspect at around 5pm on Monday after a traffic offence.

He proceeded to get into the suspect’s car- a Mercedes-Benz- and ordered the driver to drive to the Changamwe police station.

The report indicates further that when the suspect was driving along the Airport Portreitz road near Mombasa Container Terminal he accelerated and drove right into a Mitsubishi FH truck.

The officer was killed on the spot while the truck driver and the driver of the Mercedes-Benz fled the scene and are still at large.
