Rihanna says she’s ready to have children and might do it without a man
Rihanna has said she’s ready to have children and might not wait around for a man to do it with her.
The Pon de Replay singer, 32, said she believes she’ll have children in the next few years in her cover interview with British Vogue. When asked where she’ll be in ten years, she told the magazine: “I’ll have kids. Three or four of ’em.”
And she hit out at the assumption that she’ll be doing it with a partner by her side.
She added: “I feel like society makes me want to feel like ‘Oh you got it wrong…’
“They diminish you as a mother, if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives.
“But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
Rihanna delighted fans when she released her first music in three years last week.
It wasn’t the new album that they’d been hoping for as she only briefly features on PartyNextDoor’s track Believe it.
But the singer says there’s definitely new music in the pipeline.
She teased: “I can’t say when I’m going to drop. But I am very aggressively working on music.”
Rihanna hasn’t released her own songs since her hit 2016 album Anti.
Before Believe It she featured on N.E.R.D.’s track Lemon all the way back in November 2017.
