Police in Kwale County have arrested a man for defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old girl.
The 58-year-old man is alleged to have defiled the Class Six pupil on several occasions.
Matuga OCPD Joel Chesire said police arrested the suspect on Tuesday.
The suspect had been luring the minor with gifts to defile her in his home in Lukore, Matuga Sub-County.
“The girl was defiled on diverse dates last year and the case was brought to our attention on January 28. We managed to apprehend the suspect,” Mr Chesire said.
The police boss urged parents to report such cases to enable relevant authorities take swift action.
He said the suspect, who faces defilement charges, will be arraigned in court today.
