Maureen Wambui.Kenyatta University student Maureen Wambui Gachagua who was killed in a hit and run accident on Mombasa Road last Sunday was one months pregnant.

Her boyfriend Dennis Mburu Baragu revealed to NTV on Thursday how proud he was that she was carrying his baby.
“She was actually very proud carrying my baby, she would tell me how she was in love with the baby,” a tearful Baragu said.
Maureen was a third year student. She was allegedly killed by a prison warder, Sergeant Dismas Motogwa Gitenge, who police say was drink-driving.
Sergeant Gitenge is said to have driven 3km from the scene of the accident near NextGen Mall with her body on the roof of his car before dumping it in South C Estate.
Friends and Family on Thursday met at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home to view her body and plan funeral arrangements with university officials.
Olive Wangui described Wambui as a sociable person who was also a peacemaker respected by her peers.
“Before she left us, I had an argument with these girls and she was willing to stand up for me,” she added.
On Monday, Sergeant Gitenge was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts and charged with three counts: causing death through careless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop after an accident.
He pleaded not guilty to the first two charges.
But he pleaded guilty to the third count and was fined Sh10,000. He is remanded at Industrial Area Prison.
