A 16-year-old boy is among four suspects arrested in Mombasa over possession of 12 sachets of heroin.
Mombasa County Police Commander Johnstone Ipara said the four were nabbed separately in operations in Majengo, Ganjoni, Bondeni and King’orani areas.
“In total we seized 12 sachets of heroin which have been forwarded for weighing so that we can get to know their value. We also got some rolls of bhang weighing 500 grams,” said Mr Ipara on Sunday.
The four suspects will be arraigned on Monday.
The arrest came a day after a suspected drug dealer was nabbed with heroin worth Sh500, 000.
The suspect, Hemed Hassan, is being detained after he appeared before a Shanzu Court on Friday.
Mr Ipara said that police will intensify operations against drug dealers in the county.
“This is a war that we want to tell Kenyans that we will win…For those foreigners who have intentions of destroying the future of our youth, we are coming for you,” warned Mr Ipara.
Last month, the county security committee had vowed to raid houses of drug dealers in a bid to flush them out.
